The pictorial work that Isabel Haeussler has developed during the last thirty years started from figuration to slowly approach abstraction. Considering that at first her work focused on the observation of her environment, it is not surprising that current images evoke spatialities. An atmospheric effect is very visible in them, as if they had some kind of relationship with the landscape.
Her use of language appears in the articulation of contrasts: there are antagonisms between smooth and rough, fast and slow, transparent and opaque, color and monochrome, light and shadow. This richness is shown by a gesture that is not hidden. The insistence of her hand, the trajectory of her gestures is marked by the imprint of her brush.
