Haikou Golf and Tourism Forum
On 18 March morning, the “Boao International Tourist Forum on the Development of Golf and Tourist Industry 2010”, |  |
    with a thematic emphasis on the globalization of golf entertainment and the promotion of Haikou as an international island for holiday resort, was grandly opened in the Haikou Municipal Guanlan Lake Resort District. Guests who delivered congratulatory speeches included Mr. Chen Ci, Member of Hainan Provincial Committee and Secretariat for Hainan Municipal Committee; Dr. Chu Shu-ho (J.P), Vice Director of National Committee for China’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Junhao Group; Mr. Peter Dawson, President of the British Royal Classical Golf Club and Secretariat for the International Golf Association; Mr. Du Jiang, Vice Secretary for the National Tourism Bureau; Mr. Xiao Tian, Vice Director for the National Sports Headquarter; Mr. Luo Baoming, Vice Secretariat for Hainan Provincial Committee and Head of Hainan Province; and so forth.
The Haikou Municipal People’s Government and the Junhao Group jointly organized this Forum. More than 500 influential politicians, golf and tourism leaders from international field, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and famous golf stars attended the Forum. Mr. Peter Dawson, President of the British Royal Classical Golf Club and Secretariat of International Golf Association; Greg Norman, famous Australian golf star; and other guests were also invited to present their speeches.
During the Forum, the relevant government officials, scholars, film celebrities and golf pursuers had a wholesome platform of communication based on the topic of “Golf & Tourist Development” and “Golf Tour & Lifestyle”.
